RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–7×24 Southern California Chapter today announced that it will host its second annual charity golf tournament on Monday, March 27th, at Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita. The proceeds from the tournament benefit Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC).

The UNC Group 7×24 Southern California Charity Golf Tournament is proud to support CHOC. Last year’s tournament raised $20,000 for CHOC. This year’s tournament will once again consist of a day of golf, networking, food/drink, and concluding with dinner.

“We’re grateful to 7X24 Exchange SoCal for their crucial support, and we look forward to participating in this year’s tournament,” said Colleen Torres, Senior Associate Director, Digital Philanthropy, CHOC. “7X24 SoCal’s contribution will go a long way in supporting the critical work of the hospital.”

SoCal 7×24 Exchange will host a Scramble Tournament. Registration for the tournament opens at 11:00 a.m. There will be many contests, such as putting, $10,000 Hole-in-one contest, Longest Drive, and Closest to Pin.

“Our first tournament was a huge success, and we’re excited to once again partner with CHOC and contribute to their important work,” said Gil Granados, President, 7X24 Exchange Southern California Chapter. “This is a great cause, and I am looking forward to seeing all of our friends that make up the SoCal data center ecosystem.”

Donations to CHOC will help with telemedicine, social services, innovative research, and clinical assistance. Children’s hospital donations are more critical now than ever. As a non-profit hospital, CHOC treats over 250,000 children annually, regardless of their ability to pay.

CHOC recently earned a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator. This is the 14th time the Foundation has earned this distinction. This rating designates the Foundation as an official “Give with Confidence” charity.

The Title Sponsor of the Charity Golf Tournament is The UNC Group, a global provider of high-quality structured cabling products for the most demanding data center and telecom environments. Other major event sponsors of the tournament include Gold Sponsor, Vertiv; Helicopter Ball Drop Sponsor, CSI Electrical Contractors; and Lunch Sponsor, Schneider Electric. A limited number of sponsorships are left and can be found at https://7×24-exchange-socal-2023-charity-golf-outing.perfectgolfevent.com/registration.

A dinner and raffle will immediately follow the tournament. In addition to registering for this event, donations can be made directly to Children’s Hospital of Orange County – you may do so here. Non-golfers are encouraged to purchase a ticket for the dinner following the tournament.

Helicopter Ball Drop

Don’t miss the Helicopter Golf Ball Drop! Every $10 ball drop purchase is assigned to a numbered golf ball. During our event dinner, a helicopter will drop all the numbered balls at a target hole. The ball that falls into the hole first (or is closest to the hole) will win a percentage of the pot – up to $2,500. You do not need to be present to win.
