ColoGuard Expands in NJ with Data Center Acquisition
With this acquisition, current and future clients of ColocationGuard will benefit from 24/7 access to connectivity options from Tier1 providers, including Lightower Fiber Networks and Zayo. Businesses currently utilizing 111 TSP will also have direct access to ColocationGuard’s Brooklyn data center, with the ability to connect with all major Points-of-Presence (PoPs) in New York and ColocationGuard’s managed services. The facility is also caters to companies needing disaster recovery capabilities.
The infrastructure at 111 TSP can withstand a high-density server environment with a fully redundant power architecture and a capacity of up to 12 megawatts of electricity. The facility is outfitted with a variety of security and safety features, including integrated CCTV, biometrics and a cross-zoned fire protection system. To help customers benefit from increased energy efficiency, the facility’s cooling infrastructure provides a 3,320 N+1 closed loop data center cooling tower plant with free cooling capabilities.
“ColocationGuard’s expansion into Northern New Jersey is based on feedback received from businesses in a variety of industries, including internet carriers, healthcare and financial services, and will provide data center customers with a direct path to New York,” said Ray Sidler, CEO, ColoGuard Enterprise Solutions in prepared remarks. “Whether looking to increase their disaster recovery capabilities or utilize additional colocation options, customers in Northern New Jersey now have the bandwidth necessary to remain ahead in the marketplace.”
This acquisition and growth in Northern New Jersey are the next steps in ColocationGuard’s larger expansion plans. In April of 2015, the company added an additional 30,000 square feet of space to its Brooklyn data center, making it the largest telco facility in the borough.
