We began our trip with a stop at our client Cobalt Data Centers, a leading colocation facility based in Las VegasIn order to keep up our strength during our trip on the west coast, we made a stop at ZoozaCrackers in the Wynn Casino! Temperatures rose to 106 degrees!We arrived in San Diego, with a beautiful view of the San Diego Convention Center.Time for some networking!Milldam’s Adam and Caroline enjoying a networking event hosted by Super Mirco and Soft Layer at the top of the Hard Rock Hotel.We enjoyed a nice stay down the road before walking over to……Hosting Con 2015!We spent the day at Hosting Con, at the San Diego Convention Center in the historic gas lamp district of the cityA busy show!Adam tried his hand at a server/network game – you were timed to see how fast you could deploy a stack of servers and connect to the network. The fastest time was about 30 seconds!Caroline tried her luck too. Both she and Adam clocked in well over 2 minutes (although she beat him by a second) – looks like they need to work on their IT skills!We stopped by the booth to say hello to client Hurricane Electric, a global Internet backboneThey stayed busy with lots of traffic to the boothSurveying the hallWe found another game! Caroline quickly got eaten by sharks in the virtual surfboard game by EcwidAdam tried too – with much more success!A lovely evening in San DiegoNext stop: The WHIR (Web Hosting Industry Review) networking event up the road!Making new friendsWe hopped back in the car and made our way north, to San FranciscoArriving at night!The next day, we attended a bustling Datacenter Dynamics Internet!Catching up with industry friendsThere were lots of interesting sessions to choose from – this one was titled ” Stitching Together the Network Fabric”We stopped to say hello to our client Future Facilities, creator of software for modeling and predictive simulation for data centersStrolling into the city to meet with more clientsGreat views from the hotel!We wrapped up our time at Datacenter Dynamics with some networking upstairsMaking our final farewells – we hope to be back next year to attend such productive and interesting meetings and conferences!
