7×24 Exchange New England has announced that their December 3 Holiday party in Framingham, MA will feature discussion on the impact of the Internet of Things in the data center as well as the presentation of the first Innovation Award. From the article:

7×24 Exchange New England has announced that they will be featuring Dhesi Ananchaperumal of CA Technologies at their December 3rd Holiday Event, as well as presenting the first Innovation Award, at the Sheraton Framingham  Hotel and Conference Center.

Dhesi Ananchaperumal will be presenting “The Internet of Things and the Impact on the Data Center: A Look at how Data Center Professional Should Prepare Now and How to Plan for the Future.” His talk will take a closer look at how the IoT will impact the role of the Data Center Professional. An industry veteran with expertise in IT Infrastructure and energy management, Dhesi is a frequent speaker at Data Center and IT conferences.

7×24 Exchange New England will also present the first Innovation Award, which has been developed to recognize an individual within the membership of 7×24 Exchange New England who has put into place a system, process, or product that benefits the data center and could become a best practice for others.

“New England is a leader in in the fast-paced data center industry and it’s our privilege to give New England’s innovative organizations and professionals a long overdue opportunity to be recognized,” said Jennifer Koppy, analyst with IDC and board member with 7×24 Exchange. “As a group that strives to promote best practices and information sharing among datacenter managers, the New England chapter wanted to recognize individuals or teams that have put into place a technology or process that is truly innovative.”
