Automated monitoring and intelligent alerting for Oracle container based databases are some of the new features added for Linux/Solaris and Windows. The areas encompassed include container databases availability and state and individual performance of each container DB.

Other features include preventive database monitoring for latent performance indicators like space utilization, internal jobs, runway process, connections and security. Also all the previously existing 80+ monitoring areas will be supported for Oracle 12c versions.

Cerberus serves as a single solution that helps monitor all aspects of the database in one place using which unified monitoring is made possible. Also it facilitates remote DBA service for Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, and SQL Server-based back-ends.

Various back-end databases mix like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Hadoop and Postgres can be monitored by Cerberus simultaneously. In addition to monitoring, the monitored data can be compiled in a single website for a DBA to view and analyze, explained officials.
