Data Center World Fall 2013

ORLANDO, Fla.–()–Future Facilities North America (Future Facilities NA), a leading provider of data center design and operational management software, today announced that they will be unveiling their data center performance assessment called the data center ACE Score at next week’s Data Center World conference in Orlando, Florida.

“We developed the ACE metric to help data centers compare operational performance to design intent, track the performance over time, and ultimately make informed and effective decisions during operation to bring performance to its highest level.”

The ACE Score is determined using a Virtual Facility model of a data center to study current performance. The Score is intended to help data centers discover better ways of maintaining availability, maximizing capacity and optimizing efficiency in their facilities during the design, assessment, and operations of a site.

The assessment compares data center performance in three categories (Availability, Capacity, and Efficiency) of the present-day configuration to its optimal values as specified by its design. Using Predictive DCIM, the data center operator can evaluate the best way to adjust their ACE requirements to either maintain or improve performance. After calculating the assessment, the data center operator can identify the need for flexibility in their data center and use Predictive DCIM to plan changes with confidence.

“We are delighted to present the ACE Score at Data Center World,” said Christian Pastrana, Sales Manager, Future Facilities NA. “We developed the ACE metric to help data centers compare operational performance to design intent, track the performance over time, and ultimately make informed and effective decisions during operation to bring performance to its highest level.”

More information about the ACE Score will be available at Future Facilities’ Product Information Session, to be held on Monday, September 30th, at 10:40 AM in the Atlanta/Boston room, at Data Center World.

Future Facilities will also be holding their popular Server Deployment Challenge at their booth during the Data Center World Expo. The prize of an iPad Mini will be awarded to those who successfully deploy a server into a sample Virtual Facility. Future Facilities can be found at booth #923.
