Hurricane Electric Continues Summer Expansion with New Point of Presence in Budapest

New Location will provide customers in Hungary with reliable and cost-effective connectivity options

BUDAPEST, Hungary & FREMONT, Calif.–()–Hurricane Electric, the world’s largest IPv6-native Internet backbone and a leading colocation provider, today announced that it has established a new Point-of-Presence (PoP) at CE Colo located at Victor Hugo u. 18-22, Budapest, Hungary.

“This new PoP, Hurricane Electric’s first in Hungary, marks Hurricane Electric’s seventh new PoP this summer and continues our commitment to meet the demand for cost-effective and high-speed Internet connectivity throughout the world.”

The new PoP will offer customers of CE Colo Internet access to Hurricane Electric’s vast IPv4 and IPv6 network through 10GE (10 gigabit Ethernet), GigE (1 gigabit Ethernet) and 100BaseT network connections. Additionally, this new PoP will provide customers in Budapest with improved fault tolerance, load balancing and congestion management in the delivery of next generation IP connectivity services. The new PoP is also connected to the Budapest Internet Exchange (BIX.hu), further improving connectivity and redundancy, and providing new peering opportunties.
