Lopoco Featured in Data Center Dynamics Focus: NEW VENDOR PITCHES LOW-POWER SERVERS FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

Lopoco was recently featured in an article on Data Center Dynamics Focus about their new low-power servers. From the Article:

A new server vendor Low Power Company (or Lopoco) announced itself to the world this week, unveiling a line of servers it says are more efficient than the industry standard.

The product line includes 12-core, four-core and eight-core servers, as well as microservers. Lopoco says the products will perform well in conventional server applications, such as virtual-machine host, email, database, file sharing, web services, Hadoop and Hive.

The new company’s CEO Andrew Sharp said its servers were for efficient, cost-effective and ideal for small businesses as well as “cloud enterprises.”

Lopoco has already secured a number of customers. One of them is Light and Motion Industries, a Monterey, California-based vendor of underwater casings for photo and video gear.

Daniel Emerson, Light and Motion CEO, said Lopoco servers the company has deployed have performed flawlessly. “We are also pleased with the power savings,” he added.
