Purkay Labs just emerged from stealth mode yesterday, announcing the release of their product the Audit-Buddy, and the company is already featured in several influential publications.

Audit-Buddy is a portable system that takes minutes to install and requires little back-end management. Data is either displayed on the unit or transferable by USB. It’s essentially a low cost way to check environmentals either short or longterm, from an hour to a week (called QuickScan or LongScan).

The company said Audit-Buddy is an alternative to more expensive data center monitoring equipment, ideal for server and telecom closets. The price is listed at $1,449 on the Purkay website, www.purkaylabs.com.
Beta testing was completed at a large telecommunications company, a Boston-based financial services firm and a large cloud provider, Purkay said.
