BEYOND WHITESPACE: FOUNDATIONS & FUNDAMENTALS IN YOUR DATA CENTER

This seminar is focused on understanding your whitespace and identifying how to solve common operational complications. The three participating partners - Instor, RLE Technologies, and Upsite Technologies - bring a wealth of knowledge from their work in hundreds of data centers. A typical data center manager works in a couple of data center sites and doesn’t always get access to so much insight into how data centers of different styles and configurations identify a wide variety of issues and solve them using creative and often differing solutions.

Beyond Whitespace presents a unique opportunity for a data center operator to learn from several different experts all at once. Instor works to buildout whitespace, RLE develops monitoring solutions and preventative approaches to alleviate downtime, and Upsite is a leader in airflow management that can prevent downtime and save on energy bills. Additionally, an executive with Digital Realty (to be announced) will discuss his work in the facility and Mark Bramfitt, formerly with PG&E, will moderate the discussion and host the event.

The 2805 Lafayette Street site is an improved Power Based Building (PBB), which can accommodate approximately 58,000 sq. ft. of raised floor. The building will provide 9,300 kW of critical IT power in four 1125kW and four 1200kW Turn-Key Flex℠ Data Centers with the latest data center energy efficiency design.
