Hurricane Electric has expanded their global network to New England’s largest mission critical facility, at One Summer Street. From the article:

Hurricane Electric has announced that it is expanding its global network with a new Point-of-Presence (PoP) at Markley Group, located at One Summer Street, Boston. As New England’s largest and longest operating multi-tenant, mission-critical telecommunications and data center facility, One Summer Street is a natural fit for Hurricane Electric to provide increased connectivity options for enterprises in the Greater Boston area and throughout New England.

In addition to offering customers of One Summer Street connectivity options through 10 GE (10 gigabit Ethernet), 100 Gbps, GigE (1 gigabit Ethernet) and 100 BaseT network connections, this new PoP will provide improved fault tolerance, load balancing, congestion management, and reduced latency in the delivery of next-generation IP connectivity services. Customers of One Summer Street will also have the ability to exchange IP traffic, or “peer,” with Hurricane Electric’s global network.

“Hurricane Electric is looking forward to meeting customer demand for additional connectivity options in the Greater Boston area,” said Mike Leber, president of Hurricane Electric. “With this new PoP, customers of One Summer Street will be able to connect to more networks directly, and with fewer hops.”
