Upsite Technologies recently released the announcement of new leadership as Peter Crook joins the company as President & CEO. From the article:
Upsite Technologies, a data center airflow management solutions vendor, has named Peter Crook as president and CEO – position he held between 2003 and 2009.
Crook returns to Upsite from EA2, an executive management consulting company, where he served as managing director. Prior to his previous tenure at Upsite, he was VP of development for LizardTech and drove the commercial development of MrSID, now a global geospatial standard for image storage and retrieval.
This work set up additional research that contributed to open source in the GIS community and the integration of JPEG 2000 technology.
Mark Germagian, CTO of Geist Global and executive board member of Upsite, said, “We are delighted to have an industry veteran like Peter take the leadership role at Upsite Technologies. Peter’s deep knowledge of the data center market and IT product development will greatly benefit the company as it prepares to launch a new suite of products.”
Upsite noted Crook’s work while under contract for the Uptime Institute, where he participated in development of the organization’s Management and Operations Stamp of Approval. Uptime’s late founder Ken Brill also founded Upsite and led the company as CTO during Crook’s first period as CEO.
