Future Facilities’ predictive DCIM software was recently featured by Data Center Dynamics and noted for its “big changes.” From the article:
Predictive modeling software company Future Facilities has launched new release of its 6SigmaDC suite for data centers, increasing the solution’s speed and adding a number of features.
The eighth generates computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models data center environments five to six times faster than the previous versions, the company said. Overall performance of the entire suite is now two times faster.
Hassan Moezzi, Future Facilities CEO, said the company had heard from customers that they wanted to do more predictive modeling across all aspects of data center operations. “We’ve responded by making it much easier and quicker for them to build their data halls and start predicting.”
The company has also done a lot of work on integrating 6SigmaDC with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools. It has better connectivity to third-party live data sources (such as sensors, servers and power distribution units) and can be used to incorporate modeling into DCIM workflows.
Enhanced usability features make modeling easier and faster through on-screen hings, tool tips and a library of data center components, which contains nearly 3,000 products.
Overall, the company has made more than 300 enhancements across the suite for this release.
