Future Facilities’ Sherman Ikemoto will discuss the long-term costs of IT deployment without proper planning and how integrating IT and facilities operations can increase the utilization of critical data center resources

On Wednesday, May 15th at 2:30 p.m., Mr. Ikemoto will give a presentation titled “Can You Afford Lost Data Center Capacity” which will show attendees how data center owners and operators can create a virtual test facility that predicts and visualizes the outcome of power and cooling decisions before critical IT equipment is deployed.
At $10 to $30M per MW, IT compute capacity is a major capital investment for any company. During the presentation, Mr. Ikemoto will share a case study highlighting how a Fortune 500 company was able to benefit from a Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) methodology that integrates IT configuration management, 3D modeling and CFD analysis to predict, visualize and solve data center capacity issues before committing to critical infrastructure changes in the data center.
