Network Expansion Will Allow Carriers at C7 to Peer Directly With Hurricane Electric
SALT LAKE CITY, UT–(Marketwire – Nov 9, 2012) – Hurricane Electric, the world’s largest IPv6-native Internet backbone and a leading colocation provider, today announced that it is continuing its network expansion with a new Point of Presence (PoP) at C7 Data Centers, located at 179 Social Hall Avenue in Salt Lake City, Utah.
By providing new and more efficient routes for C7 traffic — including next-generation IPv6 traffic — Hurricane Electric’s network connectivity will reduce latency and router hops and provide improved fault tolerance, load balancing and congestion management possibilities for all C7 network flows. The new PoP expands the global reach of Hurricane’s10GE (10 gigabit Ethernet), GigE (1 gigabit Ethernet) and100BaseT network connections.
