Half Day, Complimentary Seminar Will Show Data Center Owners and Operators How to Use DCIM to Optimize and Protect Data Center Capacity
LOS ANGELES, CA–(Marketwire – Sep 14, 2012) – Eaton, Future Facilities and RF Code announced today that their seminar series on improving data center efficiency through Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) will come to Los Angeles. The seminar, titled The Data Center Capacity Challenge: Can DCIM Help?, will be held Thursday, September 20, 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
Bruce Taylor, Vice President, Uptime Institute, and founder/executive producer of its annual Data Center Symposium, will moderate the seminar. In addition, Bryan Landry of Southern California Edison will give data center owners and operators an overview of Southern California utility incentives and other credits.
The interactive conference will feature live demonstrations of how state-of-the-art predictive thermal modeling can help IT and facility professionals measure current data center demands and anticipate future ones. Presenters will show how to create a virtual test facility that predicts and visualizes the outcome of power and cooling decisions before critical IT equipment is installed.
The seminar’s end-user panel will provide guidance on using DCIM to optimize the configuration and layout of network servers, power distribution units and associated cooling systems to plan for future growth and avoid stranding power capacity.
