Welcome to the Milldam Minute!

After more than ten years in the technology industry, with our fiftieth Milldam Monthly to be published this fall, and having held hundreds of conversations with tech marketers working to bridge the gap between their products and their audiences, we’ve decided to present our expertise more often. This is our company blog. This is the Milldam Minute.

While we’ve supported Public Relations for a variety of industries (including a few B2C – women’s clothing and biodynamic wine among them), our focus is in the B2B technology industries, specifically data center, telecom, energy, and the like. As such, our PR advice and expertise tends to ring truest with the marketing teams, sales personnel, and C-suites interested in communicating their brands to other companies, end-users, organizations, and municipalities developing projects to support the infrastructure of facilities powering everything from a hospital to the Internet.

That being said, we look forward to using this blog as a place to recap our popular newsletters (in case you miss one), express our individual interests, and consider the challenges and opportunities facing today’s tech marketing and communications professionals.

Meet the Minds behind the Milldam Minute

Many of you know them, but for those who don’t, here are our leading bloggers: the “ABCs” of the Milldam Minute:

AdamBlog1

A | ADAM WAITKUNAS

President and founder of Milldam, Adam writes “Anecdotally Adam,” which explores the topics he finds compelling in the technology and business space. A man of diverse interests, Adam brings a vast depth of experience in the tech PR industry to his thoughts and enjoys writing about the many areas of PR (and related experiences) he’s delved into over the years. Adam creatively considers the peripheral elements needed for PR, from managing conference chaos and negotiating reporter relations, to the gastronomic pleasures to be found in cities across the United States, no matter where the business may be.

BrendonBlog1

B | BRENDON STELLMAN

Brendon publishes a monthly column titled “Pure BS.” Milldam’s expert technical writer, Brendon regularly explores the relationship between the complexities of a topic and (through a wide variety of avenues) how to present material in an interesting and engaging way. Brendon considers ideas about client relations, what it means to regularly produce quality content, the intricacies involved in marketing data center and facilities technologies, and other topical topics. He looks forward to publishing from a PR standpoint alongside his work in a more technical realm.

CarolineBlog1

C | CAROLINE HALEY

Caroline authors the column “Caroline’s Cloud”, which is representative of a space where many ideas are constantly churning in an effort to discover new ways of doing things. Caroline enjoys writing about event management, social media, email marketing, or other items that strike her fancy. As cloud computing continues affecting our clients’ work, Caroline also plans to consider the relationship between these many “moves to the cloud” and the marketing and PR strategies behind them.
