OpTerra Energy Services’ Commercial and Industrial Division has completed a project that will significantly reduce energy consumption at the City Crescent Building, a historical structure in Baltimore.
The company says that the upgrades to the building will reduce electricity use by more than 3.7 million kWh annually, OpTerra said. This will enable the facility to quality for what it said are “significant financial incentives” from Baltimore Gas & Electric. The project received an award of $225,000 through the Maryland energy Administration Commercial-Industrial Grant Program. City Crescent, an 11-story, 334,000-square-foot structure in downtown Baltimore, was developed in 1992.
OpTerra is helping The Berryessa Union School District in California in an $11 million solar project. The goal is to install panels at 13 schools and the district office.
