What is the Technology Convergence Conference (TCC)?
The TCC is a one-day educational conference where IT, Facilities, and Data Center professionals and executives come together to learn from each other in a unique collaborative setting. It is held in the Santa Clara Convention Center Mission City Ballroom in Santa Clara, CA every February.

This year’s conference is Thursday, February 26, 2015.

Why is the Technology Convergence Conference different from all the other industry conferences?

Unlike speaking sessions at other conferences that are scattered with product pitches and vendor generalizations, The TCC’s track sessions are designed for end-users by end-users to encourage peer-to-peer discussion of their successes, missteps, strategies, best practices, and the future of technologies that most interest them. The TCC’s expert speakers and resources offer attendees critical information and in-the-trenches tactics to effectively deal with key issues and trends affecting their facilities today.

In addition, the TCC is uniquely structured to encourage collaboration and communication between attendees, speakers, and sponsors. The physical floor plan is not discontinuous like many conference layouts; the main session hall and breakout session rooms surround the central gathering site where the exhibitor booths and the dining lounge is located.

Who should attend the TCC?
Anyone professionally involved with or interested in the following:
 Data Centers
 Audiovisual
 Technology and Physical Infrastructure
 Networking
 Building Management Systems
 Telecommunications
 Monitoring Systems
 Security
 Energy Management
 Converging Technology
 Bridging the communication gap between IT and Facilities, Professionals and C-Levels

Past participants have included industry experts from Adobe, Cisco, Equinix, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle, Sybase, Symantec, and VMware.

Why was the Technology Convergence Conference established?
TELADATA, one of the top technology infrastructure consulting firms in the Bay Area, began hosting educational seminars and sessions years before establishing the TCC to better inform their clients on current technologies and advise on best practices. They quickly discovered that there was a consistent underlying struggle for their clients.

As previously independent technologies were converging over one network with IP (Internet Protocol) technology, the demands on both IT and Facilities professionals shifted. Now forced to work together, communication struggles between the two groups were exposed and the ability for them to effectively and productively collaborate was rare.

TELADATA, as client advocates with the adept ability to understand both sides’ struggle, set out to make a difference in a big way. The TCC was established in 2007 to bring these diverse groups together on a level playing field and discuss key issues in an open, unbiased environment. The result is an informative, controversial show discussing the realities of the industry today and how best to prepare for the future technological advancements of tomorrow.
