Program enables Bluestone to help customers eliminate upfront capital costs for energy efficiency projects

NORWELL, Mass.–()–Bluestone Energy Services, LLC, a leader in energy conservation engineering and project development services for a variety of sectors including industrial and retail, has announced that it will offer Constellation’s Efficiency Made Easy (EME) program. Constellation, an Exelon company, is a retail supplier of power, natural gas, renewable and energy management products for businesses and homeowners.

“Bluestone Energy is excited to be a part of this important program, which gives companies much needed financial flexibility to complete cost-saving efficiency projects with no upfront costs”

Constellation’s EME combines a multi-year electricity agreement with energy conservation measures. The cost of efficiency measures is included in the price per kilowatt-hour over the term of the electricity supply agreement. In most cases, customers realize an immediate savings as a result of reduced energy use.

Each EME project is tailored to the customer’s needs of energy conservation and reduced consumption through numerous initiatives. In creating a customized efficiency strategy, customers’ challenges are identified and a water and energy conservation plan is developed to provide savings with no upfront cost. The program, which was first launched in the Northeast and Great Lakes regions in 2011, has since expanded nationally.

Under Constellation’s EME program, Bluestone recently completed a comprehensive lighting project for Teterboro, NJ-based Party Rental, Ltd., which has enabled the company to save nearly $90,000 in annual electricity costs. Additionally, the facility’s new lighting is standardized and under warranty for three years, meaning Party Rental, Ltd. will not have to pay for a new lamp until 2017.

“Bluestone Energy provided us with a way to reduce our energy costs and improve lighting throughout our entire facility,” said Alan Gottlich, Executive Vice President and CFO at Party Rental, Ltd. “Constellation’s Efficiency Made Easy program gave us a way to pay for the project without incurring any out-of-pocket expenses. We are thrilled with the new lighting and enjoying the savings that come with it.”

“Bluestone Energy is excited to be a part of this important program, which gives companies much needed financial flexibility to complete cost-saving efficiency projects with no upfront costs,” said Sean Fuller, VP of Marketing and Business Development at Bluestone Energy Services.

To date, Bluestone Energy customers across a range of sectors including industrial, non-profit, commercial real estate and technology have saved nearly 1.2 million kilowatt-hours through Constellation’s EME program.
