Solid State Lighting Design Features Bluestone Energy’s Recent Project at Lasell College

The Newton, MA based institution recently commissioned Bluestone Energy to install LED lighting and controls in several campus buildings, reports SSLD. From the article:

Bluestone Energy Services, LLC have secured over $65,000 in utility incentives for Lasell College as part of a lighting and controls retrofit. Bluestone Energy Services designed and engineered an efficiency project for Lasell’s Holway Child Study Center – The Barn, several parking garages, an Yamawaki Art and Cultural Center. For both the Yamawaki Art and Cultural Center and Holway Child Study Center – The Barn, Bluestone replaced existing fixtures with new LED fixtures. The garage lighting project included three facilities: The North Hall Garage and East/West Garage got LED tubes and added sensors that replaced the previous T-8 fixtures. In Campus Center Garage, Bluestone replaced 175 W Metal Halides with new LED fixtures with sensors.

The energy efficiency project is expected to reduce the college’s annual energy use by almost 200,000 kWh. Bluestone secured Lasell over $65,000 in utility incentives from NSTAR, and lowered lamp maintenance, lighting energy, and annual AC costs are expected to lead to annual savings of over $24,000.
