Owen DeLong to Participate in a Panel Discussion Covering Data Center Standards and Performance Metrics, Auditing and Compliance, and IPv6 Migration

 

SANTA CLARA, CA–(Marketwire – Nov 27, 2012) – Hurricane Electric, the world’s largest IPv6-native Internet backbone and leading colocation provider, today announced that Owen DeLong, Hurricane Electric’s IPv6 Evangelist and Director of Professional Services, will speak at IMN’s third annual Forum on Financing, Investing and Real Estate Development for Data Centers, which will occur this Thursday and Friday at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara.

On Thursday, November 29 at 11:25 a.m., Mr. DeLong will be featured on a panel titled “Evaluating Data Center, Internet and Other Key Standards.” The panel’s participants will discuss how to evaluate the relative importance of data center standards and performance metrics, and how to demonstrate compliance. The discussion will also highlight the economic, legal and environmental foundations of these data center standards.

Specific topics for discussion will include:

  • Tiering
  • Efficiency metrics from ASHRAE, Green Grid and Uptime Institute
  • IPv6 addressing
  • HIPAA considerations
  • Audit strategies
